My Favourite Bookstagram Accounts

May 6, 2019Hels

“Then, on impulse, I scroll back through my previous Instagram posts, looking at the photos of London cafes, sights, drinks, and smiling faces (mostly strangers). The whole thing is like a feel-good movie, and what’s wrong with that? Loads of people use colored filters or whatever on Instagram. Well, my filter is the “this is how I’d like it to be” filter… And the point is, it’s something to aspire to, something to hope for.”
― Sophie Kinsella, My Not So Perfect Life

A few months ago I made the decision to make my Instagram account a bookstagram, and I’m so glad I did. I’ve had so much fun creating content for it and it’s definitely helped me become more creative. I’ve even started my own hashtag, #averybookishpost – if you ever share book photos, I’d love for you to use it! I’ve discovered some absolutely amazing bookstagram accounts, and I wanted to share five of my favourites…

Sarah’s Chapter

Sarah was one of the first bookstagram accounts I ever started following. Her feed is always bright and beautiful, and I’ve discovered so many amazing books through her recommendations

Amy’s Bookshelf

I absolutely adore Amy and her feed. I was lucky enough to spend the day with her at the London Book Fair and it was so lovely getting to know her a bit more. She’s also incredibly supportive, and her photos are so creative – so many of them are in my ‘saved’ area on IG – she inspires me to work harder at my bookstagram content!

Beth has such a calm feed with beautiful bright splashes of yellow. I always love seeing her photos on my feed, they’re instantly recognisable and I’m constantly adding books to my TBR after reading her reviews!

Beth’s Bookshelf

Beth is another Bookstagrammer I’ve been following for a long time. Her feed is so distinctive, and I love how her feed has such a range of photos. Her reviews are brilliant and her self-timer portraits inspire me to attempt my own!

British Book Reader

I mean, just look at Abbie’s feed! I absolutely love her edit, there is such a magical feel to her photos. I always feel so cosy when I see her photos pop up on my feed, and she inspires me to work harder on my bookstagram! She also has a gorgeous Etsy store filled with bookish art.

I’d love to know who your favourite Instagram/Bookstagram accounts are – I love finding new accounts to follow!
