Sam & I got married in Richmond on Saturday 4th November. It still feels completely surreal but it was honestly the best day of my life. Having Dougie there with us was amazing, and he was SO well behaved, especially considering how long the day was, and I’m so happy all our friends and family were able to come and celebrate with us.
(Disclaimer: This is a very photo-heavy post…😊😊)
On the day, I forgot about everything, all the stress and worry, I’d had a horrible cold the week before but I don’t think anyone would have known that – the happiness and adrenaline completely took over!
Timed to perfection to counteract our honeymoon blues, we got our professional photos, and I wanted to share a handful of them, they make me so happy to look at!
Before I share them, I also have to say the biggest thanks to our photographer, Sam. After a huge panic after TWO photographers were unable to shoot the wedding, the second cancelling just five weeks before, I put out a desperate plea on Twitter, and the lovely Amanda replied, recommending her husband. Sam was literally our knight in shining armour, and aside from taking the absolutely incredible photos I’m about to share, he was the loveliest guy to have around on the day. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and we are so, so grateful.
So, this was our wedding day 💜🍂
(This sums up Doug’s opinion on photos by this point…)
(Each of our tables was named after a place Sam and I have been to together, and our wedding favours were shots, which definitely went down well!)
(At some point in the evening the ties went round the heads and Sam & I were being lifted onto shoulders for ‘Come on Eileen’…)
