All the little things: September
September was a really special month for us, because it was Dougie’s first birthday. September also means autumn, which is always my favourite season, especially this year!
Here are a few of my favourite things from this month…
His first birthday was definitely the highlight of the month, and it was absolutely perfect. He also started nursery at the beginning of the month, which he seems to be really enjoying, and he took his first few steps, which was amazing. He also had a slice of birthday cake, which I can say with absolute confidence that he loved!
The wonderful Abbey and Kate sent me a care package (look how amazing it is!) which included a copy of The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k, and I’ve started reading that.
We bought our wedding rings, they’re absolutely beautiful. I also bought a couple of gorgeous jumpers for autumn, and we bought Dougie a lot of new clothes (it was his birthday, so totally acceptable to splurge) and I love dressing him in them!
One of my bridesmaids surprised me with a spa weekend and a massage. We went to St Anne’s Hilton, which was absolutely lovely, it was so relaxing and just what I needed. Sam and I took Dougie to Greenwich for the day as well – it was a beautiful autumnal day and we walked round the park and went for food, it was such a nice way to spend a day.
At the moment, my editor is off work, so I’m currently doing both of our jobs. I’m proud that I’m somehow managing to stay on top of the workload, as well as juggling Dougie.
I’ve narrowed it down from about 54821 🙂
This was Sam and I at a beautiful beach wedding in Camber – our last wedding before ours!
