I know I say this every month, but I can’t believe it’s the end of the month! This time last year I was (im)patiently waiting for Dougie to arrive, and now he’s nearly a year old – how is that possible?!?!? August has felt like a very busy month; I don’t remember the last time we had a free weekend!
Here are a few of my favourite things from this month…
I’ve been using the B Beauty Antioxidant Boost Facial Oil every night for the last few weeks and I actually think I can see a difference! My skin feels much brighter (and for a sleep-deprived mum to say that, that’s something!) and its also vegan and cruelty-free!
He’s not walking yet, but he seems to have drastically increased his crawling speed, and he’s started really enjoying playing games with us, he’s learnt how to play peekaboo which is adorable 😍 We had a whole week where he slept through every single night. That was probably the greatest gift he could have given to us! Then he got a cold poor thing, so it was goodbye sleep once again!
So, I read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I had tickets to go and see it so didn’t want to read it first, but then I couldn’t go, so I decided that I needed a Potter fix so read it all in an evening. I enjoyed going back into the world, but I think I definitely need to see it to fully appreciate it…
It kind of counts as a purchase…I paid off the rest of my wedding dress 🙂
I met up with the lovely Sarah and her son, Oliver, for a day out at Paradise Wildlife Park which was really fun – especially watching the two boys play together!
Sam had his stag do last weekend – 17 or so boys in Amsterdam – what could possibly go wrong?! I was overly anxious about it, but actually I managed to keep my anxiety under control, and I’m pretty proud of that. Also, I went back to Leicester while he was away and I drove, and google maps decided to take me through central London – and when I say central, I mean Marble Arch, Oxford Street etc – and I survived and didn’t panic!
I love this one of Sam & I from a wedding we went to 💜
