All the little things: August

I know I say this every month, but I can’t believe it’s the end of the month! This time last year I was (im)patiently waiting for Dougie to arrive, and now he’s nearly a year old – how is that possible?!?!? August has felt like a very busy month; I don’t remember the last time we had a free weekend!

Here are a few of my favourite things from this month…

Product

I’ve been using the B Beauty Antioxidant Boost Facial Oil every night for the last few weeks and I actually think I can see a difference! My skin feels much brighter (and for a sleep-deprived mum to say that, that’s something!) and its also vegan and cruelty-free!

Dougie moment

He’s not walking yet, but he seems to have drastically increased his crawling speed, and he’s started really enjoying playing games with us, he’s learnt how to play peekaboo which is adorable 😍 We had a whole week where he slept through every single night. That was probably the greatest gift he could have given to us! Then he got a cold poor thing, so it was goodbye sleep once again!

Book

So, I read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I had tickets to go and see it so didn’t want to read it first, but then I couldn’t go, so I decided that I needed a Potter fix so read it all in an evening. I enjoyed going back into the world, but I think I definitely need to see it to fully appreciate it…

Purchase

It kind of counts as a purchase…I paid off the rest of my wedding dress 🙂

Day out

I met up with the lovely Sarah and her son, Oliver, for a day out at Paradise Wildlife Park which was really fun – especially watching the two boys play together!

Achievement

Sam had his stag do last weekend – 17 or so boys in Amsterdam – what could possibly go wrong?! I was overly anxious about it, but actually I managed to keep my anxiety under control, and I’m pretty proud of that. Also, I went back to Leicester while he was away and I drove, and google maps decided to take me through central London – and when I say central, I mean Marble Arch, Oxford Street etc – and I survived and didn’t panic!

I love this one of Sam & I from a wedding we went to 💜

Yaaaay, I love your end-of-the-month posts!

Firstly – major, major proud friend moment of you kicking that sorry anxiety’s butt; you are GREAT and I’m mega impressed and inspired by you doing so!

Love love love your pic of that lovely-looking facial oil – man you just alwaaaaays kill it on the flatlay front! Oh, and I’m with Jemma, I need to try some ASAP!

It’s so cute that Dougie is really interacting with you – and he’s learned Peakaboo such a clever little one! That face is so adorable, I’m sorry he’s felt a bit under the weather! But so glad you guys got some sleep at long last!

The wedding dress 100% counts as a purchase – its so beautiful, how could it not *wells up slightly at prospect of you in stunning wedding dress* !

You and Sam are such a beautiful couple – that photo is lovely; you guys are THE ultimate #couplegoals and you look absolutely stunning in your dress (although you could annoyingly look stunning in a bin bag but I *suppose* I won’t hold it against you ;-)! )
