Sometimes you need an afternoon filled with friends, cupcakes, pink lemonade and plenty of people-watching in one of the prettiest dining spots in London…
I met Kate and Abbey at Peggy Porschen in London. Just a few minutes walk from Victoria station, Peggy Porschen is a pink beacon that definitely stands out from the other buildings in the surrounding streets. Pastel pink and covered in flowers, it’s one of the most aesthetically pleasing bakeries I’ve ever visited!
I’ve met Abbey once before, when we went to the Foodies Festival together, but this was the first time I’d ever met Kate, and I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last time we all get together 🙂
Abbey had managed to grab a table for three outside, and we each went and ordered. I had the Summer Berry Pudding Cupcake which came with a little pipette of jam to put on my cupcake which was very cute, Kate had a slice of the Strawberry & Champagne cake which looked amazing, and Abbey had the Lemon, Raspberry & Rose. To be honest, I don’t think there was a cake in there that I wouldn’t have eaten! We all had the pink lemonade as well which was really yummy.
While we ate (after taking a few obligatory photos of the amazing food) we chatted away about pretty much everything – upcoming holidays, internet dating, adorable pets, future plans – and it was so easy to talk to both of them.
It would have been rude not to pose for a photo outside…
Peggy Porschen got extremely busy, and so once we’d finished our cupcakes and lemonade, we went for a wander around the streets in the area – the houses around there are absolutely beautiful!
This weekend celebrates International Day of Friendship (even though every day should really be a celebration of this!), so I wanted to write about this afternoon, not only to show off all the gorgeous photos, but to show how you never know who you’re going to meet and get on with – I started to chat to Abbey and Kate through blogging and Twitter, but when I met them I could talk to them as easily as I talk to people I’ve known for years! (Also, who got the loose FRIENDS reference in the title…?)
Have you ever met up with any of your blogging friends?
