Eye make-up has always been my favourite, as soon as I was allowed to wear make-up I plastered on mascara, eye shadow and extremely messy and uneven liquid eyeliner. As I got older I found that for me, less was definitely more, and I think that now I’ve got my eye make-up look sorted – yay! So I thought I’d share my daily look with you.
So, I know this palette has been reviewed time and time again, buuuut this is my first beauty post and I love it, so forgive me!
Retailing at £39.50, the Naked palettes aren’t the cheapest, but in my opinion they are worth every penny. I wasn’t sure which palette to choose as they all looked so lovely, but my friend and fellow blogger, Kaylee, recommended Naked3 for me. Wise, wise words.
I absolutely love the shades in this palette. I’ve mostly been using ‘Liar’ and ‘Buzz’ as I prefer having a little bit of a shimmer, and have braved ‘Darkside’ and ‘Darkheart’ when I’ve wanted a more striking look.
I prefer the shimmer shades over the matte, but often mix them – I love using ‘Limit’ and ‘Liar’ together. The pigmentation is amazing, and I’ve found they last a lot longer than any other I’ve tried, apply easily and blend beautifully. The double ended brush is also brilliant and makes application and blending so simple.
Next up is eyeliner. As I said before, I was always a liquid eyeliner girl, but I got fed up of waiting for it to dry and I would inevitably end up with smudges and one eye that was infinitely better than the other. So I thought I’d try Benefit’s ‘they’re real! push-up liner’ and I was not disappointed.
It has a lovely velvety feel to it, and glides on really smoothly. It was easy to get really close to my lash line which definitely made my eyes look bigger, plus I didn’t have to wait for it to dry! It lasts really well throughout the day and I love that I don’t have to sharpen it, nor does it turn gloopy!
Finally it’s my mascara. I’ve gone through so many mascaras I can’t even begin to count, but I really love this MAC one.
I think this definitely enhances and lengthens my lashes, and separates them really well. It stays on, although I do sometimes find that by the end of the day it’s smudged a little under my eyes, but I’m yet to find a mascara that doesn’t do that!
I love trying out new eye make-up, what are your favourites?
