All the little things: August days
Happy September! I can’t believe it’s September. Due date is literally just a few days away, and I’m so ready to have this baby. I know it’s a few days late, but I wanted to keep up with my monthly snapshots. So, August!
I’ll be honest, I’ve been terrible this month. I’ve been trying hard to keep active and busy so reading has fallen by the wayside a little, however, I’ve finally started the new Justin Cronin book – The City of Mirrors. This is the third book in The Passage trilogy, and I’ve literally been waiting years for it to be released. If you enjoy vampire stories and horror novels, definitely, definitely give this trilogy a go.
Two for this month – Zhu – Hometown Girl, and Technimatic – Parallel
I bought a black dress for a wedding I went to, just a simple stretch jersey dress but I loved it. It was perfect for the wedding and I wore it with some statement jewellery, and I’ve worn it since, both by itself and with t-shirts underneath which give it a nice casual look.
I seem to have had a lot of brunching this month which is never a bad thing. I think the food I ate in Brighton the other week – Brioche French Toast for brunch then fish and chips on the beach were my favourite (followed by an amazing ice cream from Boho Gelato) – there’s something about eating food by the sea that makes everything taste better!
I think this picture I took while walking down Kingston riverside is one of my favourites from this month…
We’ve bought the last few bits for the nursery (photos of which I’ll share on here when it’s ready!) – I think they were the best things we’ve bought.
Well, I’m quite proud of successfully working up until week 39 of my pregnancy, and of making it through the entirety of a friends wedding! Oh, and I got a strike when I went bowling with work before my maternity leave, that was pretty good!
Sam and I went to Brighton for the bank holiday which was absolutely lovely. It was so nice just to walk around and enjoy the seaside together.
